Its understated location adds to the charm—an off-the-beaten-path café with a genuine feel, where each dish tells a story.

The café’s offerings are diverse yet thoughtfully curated, catering to a broad audience—from health-conscious eaters to comfort-food lovers. Signature breakfast dishes like the Breakfast H.S.P, featuring braised pulled lamb on homemade potato rosti, infused with smoky BBQ and chili, stand out for their depth of flavor and craftsmanship. For those seeking something lighter yet satisfying, options like the Chiaoat Bircher or the Coconut Porridge oats cooked in rich coconut milk with poached pears provide a refined, nourishing start to the day.

Vegetarian and vegan diners will find their own haven here, with vibrant choices such as the Smashed Avocado, Buddha Bowl, and the Eggplant and Egg dishes that highlight seasonal, fresh ingredients. The Moroccan Eggs and the Breakfast Burrito bring a worldly influence to the menu, echoing the café’s name and ethos—blending flavors and cultures seamlessly.

Beverage culture is clearly a priority. The coffee here consistently receives praise—from robust flat whites with creamy oat milk to more adventurous options like the Coconut Turmeric Latte and Matcha. Alongside these are carefully selected fresh juices and specialty drinks, all served with a genuine smile from attentive staff, enhancing the overall experience.

The Foreigner Café is not just about food but about environment and connection. Guests frequently mention the friendly atmosphere and the café’s inviting space, making it a perfect spot for casual catch-ups, solo work sessions, or weekend brunches. The attentive yet unobtrusive service complements the relaxed vibe, though occasional delays speak more to the café’s popularity than to any systemic flaw.

Highlights like Joaquin’s homemade empanadas add a personal touch, resonating with customers who appreciate authenticity and care. Unique treats such as the Carrot Cake paired with bottomless coffee invite indulgence without overwhelming the senses.

In summary, The Foreigner Café Ivanhoe embodies a harmonious balance—a café that thrives on quality, community, and a spirit of culinary adventure. Whether you’re stopping by for a energizing coffee, a wholesome breakfast, or a memorable meal, this café promises an experience layered with flavor, warmth, and a touch of the unexpected.

1 of those off to the side alley hidden gems where the owners put their heart and soul into the mix with their sweat and tears & you know what... That's the exact mixture to get such a place where it not only smells and tastes like the genuine thing, it looks and feels perfect too... 1 not to miss if you're close or id even go far as to say, take a detour if you have to, your Insta followers will thank you for the pics...

Good vibes, fast and friendly service. We had porridge, hot cakes and Moroccan eggs. They were all delicious. The hot cake look sweet but it just mild which was nice. The pears on porridge were cinnamon infused which added an aromatic flavour to the porridge. Love it all.

Food is nice. Service took a while to be seated. They forgot one meal which was their special for the day (mushrooms on toast) but when it came, it was lovely.

Very nice cafe with delicious dishes & coffee! My order is short ribs, it taste good and well done juicy beef ribs. And the meat burger cooked by pulled beef ribs not mince, that’s more nice! Must say, there have the most tasty nuggets & chips in all cafe I went. I dunno how to describe, it’s crispy even the nuggets. My son love it and finish 2 serves! lol From the menu, we believe that the price hasn’t change for few years already. It’s cheap for a brunch nowadays!!
